What You Will Be Doing<\/p>\n
Installing both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems to the latest BS 5839-1 standards<\/p>\n
Reading and working from electrical drawings and system designs<\/p>\n
Running and terminating fire-rated cables neatly and securely<\/p>\n
Fitting and connecting all fire system components including detectors, call points, panels and more<\/p>\n
Carrying out fault-finding, testing and pre-commissioning checks<\/p>\n
Ensuring all installations are clean, professional and compliant<\/p>\n
Communicating with clients, site managers and colleagues as needed<\/p>\n
Completing accurate documentation and installation records<\/p>\n
Maintaining health and safety practices on site<\/p>\n
Supporting service and call-out duties when required<\/p>\n
What We Are Looking For
\nEssential<\/p>\n
Hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems to BS 5839-1 standards<\/p>\n
Knowledge of addressable systems such as Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo and Hochiki<\/p>\n
Strong understanding of fire safety and electrical regulations<\/p>\n
Full UK driving licence<\/p>\n
Ability to read and interpret system drawings and specs<\/p>\n
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills<\/p>\n
A team player who can also work independently<\/p>\n
Desirable<\/p>\n
FIA installation qualifications or equivalent<\/p>\n
IPAF or PASMA certification<\/p>\n
Valid ECS or CSCS card<\/p>\n
