    We are a specialist business‑to‑business media organisation producing industry publications in both print and digital formats, as well as associated events. Following a staff retirement and a recent acquisition, we are seeking an Advertising Sales Manager to oversee two established titles within our portfolio: Bulk Distributor and Euro Bulk Systems.

    About the Publications

    Bulk Distributor is a leading global magazine and website serving the bulk liquids transport sector. Published six times per year, it is a trusted source of information for supply chain issues relating to bulk liquids, powders and gases across the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, mineral, food and beverage industries.

    Euro Bulk Systems is a bi‑monthly publication focusing on the handling, processing and distribution of powders, granulates, flakes and pellets, as well as liquids and pastes to a lesser extent.

    Role Overview

    The successful candidate will be responsible for selling advertising space across print and digital platforms to both existing and prospective clients. This includes maintaining regular telephone contact with an international client base, producing tailored sales proposals, and managing day‑to‑day activity efficiently.

    The role requires close liaison with the editorial team and the ability to carry out independent research. Occasional travel to European and potentially international trade shows will be required. The successful applicant may also be involved in selling across additional titles and products within the wider portfolio.

    • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Representing the organisation professionally at all times
    • Meeting and exceeding agreed sales targets
    • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting
    • Promoting the publications across relevant markets
    • Identifying and securing new business opportunities
    • Working collaboratively with editorial colleagues
    • Conducting competitor analysis on an ongoing basis

    Candidate Requirements

    • Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
    • Demonstrable track record of meeting targets and growing accounts
    • Strong new‑business ability and a proactive, results-driven approach
    • Understanding of both print and digital advertising sales
    • Strong negotiation, presentation and organisational skills
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership of accounts
    • Minimum of A‑Level education; degree-level preferred

    This position would be well suited to a junior salesperson seeking progression and increased responsibility.

    Salary & Benefits

    • Basic salary: £29,000–£30,000
    • Uncapped commission structure: 3% guaranteed per sale
    • Realistic OTE: £40,000–£45,000
