Driving to properties in the south east area. Some sites in London (driver’s license essential)
Brief outline of role:
We are looking for a Mobile Operative to carry out general maintenance/handyperson service. You will attend a number of sites spread across London and the South east, to complete monthly compliance checks and basic maintenance.
The role does include travel to and from appointments as this is not a static role (Company van, phone, laptop, travel card and uniform) will be supplied). A full UK driving licence is essential.
Job Specification:
You will be working independently and be responsible for completing compliance checks, routine maintenance and undertaking repairs, so we are looking for someone proactive and able to self-manage. Someone versatile, and multiskilled as you will be carrying out the following duties:
Compliance Check: Fire Alarm, emergency light flick test, water temperature checks etc.
Plumbing: To resolve basic problems such as installing new taps and repairing leaks etc.
Electrical: To replace bulbs, rewiring sockets etc
Decorating: Painting walls and ceilings, touching up skirting boards and door frames, sanding floors and other wooden surfaces.
Gardening: Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, bushes and trees, weeding, watering flower beds and repairing border walls and fences.
Qualifications
Multiskilled (Handyperson, or Maintenance Technicians) with broad variety of household jobs.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From Circa £28,000 per annum depending on experience
Benefits: Stakeholder Pension, Company van for work use, uniform, mobile phone.
Hours: Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week.
Location: preferably based in southeast London / north Kent area, but all locations would be considered.
Must have a valid UK driving licence, the role does involve a substantial amount of driving in the south east area.
Require good communication skills and fluent English
Must be organised, good communication skills, customer service ethos and ability to run your own job schedule and calendar is essential
Experience:
Handy Person, or Maintenance Person, or Multiskilled Engineer, or Electrical or Mechanical background with a clean driving license will be considered
