    Our multi award winning client based in Maldon are looking for an additional Sales Administrator to join their small but close-knit team.

    They’re entering their 30th year of business and are offering a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of the business and upskill yourself.

    Although this role is predominately calling existing customers to take their orders weekly there’s so much more, you’ll be doing including help run their social media accounts, brainstorming new product names and branding and route planning to name a few.

    You’ll get all the training necessary to succeed at this job and you’ll be working closely with the company director (who stated as a Sales Administrator).

    What you’ll be doing:

    Calling customers to take their orders
    Promoting products and services to customers
    Upselling to customers
    Recording sales activities accurately on the database
    Creating invoices on the database
    Using excel for bookkeeping and formulas
    Calling customers about outstanding payments
    Taking payments in person
    Bookkeeping
    Stock taking
    Route planning for drivers
    Hire vehicles when needed
    Design and print flyers for advertisements
    Email marketing
    Brainstorming new product branding and name ideas
    Any other ad hoc tasks as required

    What you’ll need to be successful;

    Ability and confidence to pick up the phone and speak to regular customers
    Professional telephone manner
    Have sensitivity when speaking to customers about outstanding payments
    Good computer skills including excel
    A ‘cando’ attitude and proactiveness
    Accuracy and attention to detail
    Initiative to think quickly and be a problem solver

    Requirements to apply:

    Previous telephone experience in inbound or outbound sales
    Experience using excel and databases to record information
    Experience quoting a product or service
    Good geographical knowledge of Maldon and surrounding areas
    Bookkeeping experience (ideal but not essential)
    Drivers license (ideal but not essential)
