Operations Administrator – Freight Forwarding
Location: Basildon
Salary: Up to £24,000
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility required)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Administrator to join a dynamic and growing team in Basildon.
This is an excellent chance for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Booking and handling European shipments – groupage and express
Providing exceptional customer service via email and phone
Negotiating competitive prices with suppliers
Managing the Road Freight daily profit spreadsheet
Processing invoices and liaising with accounts on sales/cost queries
Keeping customer portals updated in a timely manner
Assisting with the growth and development of the department
Working closely with overseas and UK agents
What We’re Looking For:
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Proactive, with a willingness to learn and develop
Previous experience in freight forwarding (preferred but not essential)
