Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join their busy team.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Duties will include:
- Loading and unloading lorries using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately.
- Assisting customers with collections and providing a professional service.
- Organising and maintaining stock within the yard.
- Manual handling and handballing of heavy materials.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Supporting the wider team with general yard duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
- Has previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out heavy manual work.
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Has good communication and customer service skills.
- Is reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
