This is a full time Receptionist position – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Start Tuesday 10th May. – 4 weeks temporary- could go permanent for the right person.

AEC is looking to hire an experienced Receptionist to sit front of house at our modern Southern office in Mountnessing, Brentwood. The main focus of the Receptionist is to be the first point of contact providing an efficient, client-focused service to training delegates, customers and staff alike.

The Receptionist will deal with all incoming calls and queries effectively, maintain a high level of customer service at all times, book in lab samples and also provide diary, sales and administration support.

Office housekeeping will also be the responsibility of the Receptionist on an ongoing basis – including office and training supplies, petty cash and any other duties that ensure the smooth running of AEC South.

Reception is first line; this role requires a mature professional that can multitask efficiently, is personable and can deal with people in a friendly and efficient manner as well as somebody who can focus between the inevitable interruptions that come with a reception desk.

Responsibilities

  • Answering and directing all calls
  • Welcoming visitors and training delegates, arranging lunch tickets
  • Postage in/out
  • Preparation of training room and supplies of coffee/tea/food.
  • Booking in of lab samples
  • Diary management
  • Administration duties
  • Converting quotes from CRM system
  • Production of Quick Turn reports for customers
  • Maintenance and monitoring of office supplies
  • Dealing with petty cash.
  • Auditing of company vehicles quarterly
  • Dealing with any day to day maintenance issues
  • Maintaining consumables e.g. Coffee/tea/sugar/toilet rolls etc.

Skill Set

  • Previous experience working on a busy reception desk
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong organisational skills
