Job Description: Technical Support Specialist

Role Overview: This position involves providing customer and sales support across all systems and products. The role requires technical expertise, particularly in CAD, to create bespoke drawings and details, assist with as-built drawing packages, and compile O&M manuals. Additionally, the role includes contributing to specification writing, supporting the marketing team with technical content, staying updated on regulatory changes, managing third-party product inquiries, and offering on-site technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer and sales support for all systems and products.
- Utilize CAD to create custom drawings and details for as-built packages and O&M manuals.
- Assist in writing and approving bespoke roofing specifications in collaboration with the technical department.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and review technical content for various publications, articles, and marketing materials.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and codes of practice, and report these updates to management.
- Manage third-party product and system inquiries through selected business partners.
- Offer on-site technical support to customers and the sales team.
- Respond to general technical inquiries from sales teams, contractors, and clients.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 Per Annum
Skills and Qualifications:
Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ideally, a solid technical understanding of commercial roofing systems.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Office and CAD software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within time constraints.
- Ability to manage pressure from a demanding sales environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good understanding of building regulations, construction, and design principles.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Qualifications:
- No specific qualifications required, but a HND or equivalent in a construction-related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a construction-related role.
- Experience with CAD and construction-related tasks.
- Proven ability to work in a problem-solving environment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and use access equipment on-site.
