A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join the leading supplier to the UK”s retail and fashion & Industrial industries with over 5,000 products featured in their catalogue and many more online. This established brand makes them to be the one stop shop for all their customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing existing accounts within the companies charity vertical client base. This role covers the the UK (but specific concentration of clients are within the south of England)

Due to this being the one of the companies leading sectors with numerous existing clients this role will involve a lot of account management and you will be heavily involved in clients project management of new sites and make-overs – therefore you must have a fantastic attention to detail, organised, be heavily client centric and you must be creative!

The ideal candidate will have the following ability;

• To grow & foster good working relationships with all clients (existing and potential) within your allocated industry/area, identifying their decision makers and needs
• Proactively contact the assigned customers on a regular basis in the promotion of company products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager
• Broaden and develop the customer base through new business acquisition and growth
• Deliver highest levels of Customer Service and satisfaction
• Cross sell additional products, services and solutions to existing and new customers
• Follow up on quotations and provide feedback as requested
• Update company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software on a daily basis to ensure accurate forecasting and communicate information with the sales management team, business unit managers and wider areas of the company
• Maintain market awareness to identify potential new key accounts
• Obtain and communicate market information as required and requested by management
• Play an active role in new and existing product development

You will have previous account management and new business sales experience, ideally within the retail / eCommerce / packaging / distribution / manufacturing industries.

You will also have the following experience in a sales environment;

• Demonstrable experience in an external sales role, ideally in the area of supplying retailers or Charities with supplies in Retail Consumables
• Experience of working autonomously in own regional area
• Have proven success within a target driven environment
• Experience of developing long term relationships with relevant decision makers
• Previous field-based sales experience
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed
• Clean Driving Licence
