Adore recruitment are looking for a Senior CDP or CDP to join a team of 12 in a 5* hotel and spa in Maldon.

As a CDP or Senior CDP you will report directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef and will be responsible for all aspects of your section of the section of the kitchen that you are working on.

Qualifications & requirements


To ensure that standards are maintained and to co-operate with all staff and management to provide a smooth and efficient service.

To act on all aspects of kitchen development and management.

To ensure there is a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety in the kitchen at all times.

To provide assistance to the Exec Head Chef/Head Chef/Sous Chef to help ensure the smooth running of foodservice operations.

To create high quality food to meet guest expectations and to maintain company standards.


Key Objectives


To support the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations

To create high quality food to meet guest expectations and to maintain company standards

To be flexible to manage the banqueting kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef/Sous Chef


Person Specification

  • Be reliable, punctual and self-motivate
  • Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
  • Experience with fresh Italian food is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • All food safety and health and hygiene up to date with certificates.


All employees

A Chef with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar property.

Experience in A la carte cooking

Some experience in banquet preparation

Knowledge of current food trends

Must be able to fit well into the team

A steady career path to date showing good progression driven by proven success
