Adore recruitment are looking for a Senior Sous chef to join a team of 12 in a 5* hotel and spa in Maldon.
As a senior Sous Chef you will report directly to the Head Chef and will be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
Our client is well known as one of the best Hotel & Spa venues in Essex and have been for the past few years. They are located in the beautiful countryside of Essex with 365 acres of stunning grounds with its own golf course, spa and leisure facilities.

Qualifications & requirements
A senior Chef with a minimum of 5 years in a similar property o Global/National hotel experience at a senior level. Excellent management skills.
Considerable experience in cook-chill and banqueting, successful in managing a team of chefs.
A steady career path to date showing good progression driven by proven success.
Excellent relationship building and rapport building skills.
Knowledge of what is new in food trends.
To support the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations o To create high quality food to meet guest expectations and to maintain company standards o To be flexible to manage the banqueting kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Be reliable, punctual and self-motivate
- Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
- Experience with fresh Italian food is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- All food safety and health and hygiene up to date with certificates.
To attend training when required.
